Handmade gifts are very unique gifts. Even a simple handmade gift can have a special impact. A good friend of mine, who was studying at a culinary school at the time, baked a delicious cake for me for my birthday.

Baking a cake must have been a very easy thing to do for her, but receiving a homebaked cake instead of a storebought one has a deeper impact to me, since she had really set aside some time and spent some effort to bake it.

If you know how to bake or to do other things that can be applied to make handmade gifts, do so. No matter how simple it is, it is still very unique and very special.
