Surprise Birthday Gifts in Unlikely Places

We all know that parties can be thrown in fastfood chains, such as McDonald's or Burger King. Most of the time, these parties are for kids, who love eating there.

However, when I was still in college, my old college buddies threw a surprise party for me in a McDonald's just outside of my school.

We used to hang out there after school. We also used to hold study groups there as well. So, they found it fitting to throw a party at a place that we always used to hang out.

It was embarrassing at first, since the other patrons were wondering why the party area was filled with college students and where the child, who they thought was the one celebrating, was.

Now when I look back on that day, I realize that it is one of the best birthday gifts I've ever received.
