So, what objective should all unique corporate gifts achieve? Basically, not matter what corporate gift ideas you want to implement, it should ultimately grow your business!

I am sure you do not want to be giving the most unique corporate Christmas gifts that would drain resources from your company. What you want is to hand out strategic corporate Christmas gifts that would generate more business right?

I would not go into details about what unique corporate gifts you should give, ebay and amazon does a better job than me. Rather, I want to dwell on how to ensure that these business gift ideas generate sales for you.

No matter what business you do, it would ultimately fall into 2 category, B2B and B2C. The former meant sales for business use, the latter means selling to consumers directly. Each would give out different client gifts.

B2B Corporate gift ideas

In B2B selling, you would only have a few customers, and you want to sell them a lot of thing (depth). The thing that you want to secure is to be able to communicate to them easily.

You want to get their permission to keep selling to them. The best mode is to go "unofficial" and casual. Do not bother to get them into email list (which you would definitely have), moreover, they would not feel safe replying anything on email, it is too official.

The medium that you want to communicate to them is via social sites, such as facebook or twitter. Personally, I prefer twitter, get them to be your followers.

Encourage them to join your twitter following, with promise of tweets about latest industry happenings, and the ability to solve their problems when they tweet on twitter as your whole company would be able to see their problems and react accordingly.

Design a nice card with simple instruction on how to do it, then in whatever company gifts you are giving out, embossed the idea together with your company logo, e.g. pipi gift ideas, find out the coolest ideas at http://www.twitter.com/mrpipi.

Then, these unique corporate gifts no matter how expensive would serve their cause in opening a conduit for you to "talk" to your customer.

B2C corporate gift ideas

Now, selling to consumer is different, mostly you do not have any encounter with them, and usually what you are giving out are some cheap corporate gifts -like calendar cards.

But, that is okay, because you would be able to print a lot and increase your reach, the important thing now is what are you going to print on these gifts?

If you do the usual stuff like your address, your contact, website etc, what is the likelihood that the consumer would call and ask you, a shop selling cloths in Marina Square if you have any new designs?

However, if you invite them to join your mailing list, promising them a free gift when they sign up, you would immediately get an email for you to continue selling.

That free gift however, must be attractive enough, for example a scarf if you are a clothing retailer in Marina Square. In fact, to ensure that you have an opportunity to sell, get them to collect the scarf in your shop -you see how I manage to get one repeat customer for you?

It is good to think about what unique corporate gifts to send to foster relationship with your customers, however, do give some thoughts on how to get their permission to communicate to them. That is after all, the channel where businesses can be generated...
